چکیده

The global custody transfer market for liquefied natural gas (LNG) has grown at a strong pace in the last decade and use of LNG as transport fuel considerable environmental benefits. quantity is traded on basis energy transferred, calculated from volume, density gross calorific value. High-speed, accurate measurement therefore significant commercial electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) device described this paper potential to measure rapidly, on-line moderate cost. Continuous monitoring variation during dynamic flow also gives good indication change fluid quality thus onset boiling which known affect accuracy. ECT leading candidate be explored online measurements through permittivity, addition average value, it offers image permittivity across whole conduit, allowing localised bubbles, or other variations identified measured. We report here experiments explore cryogenic applications. Mass Flow Measurement of Biofuels using Electrical Capacitance Tomography

Biomass provides 10% of the global energy supply and electricity generation from biomass and waste is expected to increase by a factor of 4 by 2030. Currently efficiency of biomass power generation is poor and IEA targets improvements from 18% to 25% by 2030 [1]. Such increases in efficiency will require significant new technology and accurate real-time measurement of the flow of these highly v...

Electrical Capacitance Tomography System

Electrical Capacitance Tomography is a non intruding technique used in industries. It is based on measuring the capacitance of multi-electrode ECT sensor produced by the change in dielectricity or due to change in concentration of material. With the use of computed values, a cross sectional image of the material placed in the dielectric medium is obtained. ECT system can be used in chemical fie...

Electrical Capacitance Tomography System For Industrial Applications

An electrical capacitance tomography system (ECT) has been developed. The system consists of a circular sensor with 8 electrodes. A charge generator injects charges into the sensor filled with objects different dielectric constants. The charges, in the form of potential dropped, on another electrode are measured and acquired digitally to a PC for calculating the capacitance and estimating the d...

Virtual Instrument for Online Electrical Capacitance Tomography

Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) is a technique invented in the 1980’s to determine material distribution in the interior of an enclosed environment by means of external capacitance measurements (Huang et al., 1989a, 1992b). In a typical ECT system, 8 to 16 electrodes (Yang, 2010) are symmetrically mounted inside or outside a cylindrical container, as illustrated in Figure 1. During the ...

Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography: Design and Applications

This article reports recent advances and progress in the field of electrical capacitance volume tomography (ECVT). ECVT, developed from the two-dimensional electrical capacitance tomography (ECT), is a promising non-intrusive imaging technology that can provide real-time three-dimensional images of the sensing domain. Images are reconstructed from capacitance measurements acquired by electrodes...
